PLAY FAIR. KNOW THE RULES.

Server rules

Gameplay, raiding, building, community conduct, and enforcement.
Server rulebook updated October 20, 2026.

Section I - GAMEPLAY RULES

No Glitching or Exploiting

No swimming under the map, duping loot, stacking items (e.g. garden plots/fireplaces/tents), or any unfair mechanical abuse. This includes shooting through walls that have not loaded in properly when first connecting to the server.
1st Offense: Permanent Ban

Alt XBOX / Discord Accounts

Xbox alt accounts are allowed – there is a limit of 10 that can be linked to each user’s Discord account. Alt Xbox or Discord accounts used to evade bans are strictly prohibited.

No Combat Logging

You must wait 5 minutes after taking damage before logging out. If you're knocked unconscious, do not respawn until death or revival.
(Server restarts do not count as combat logging.)
1st Offense: Warning
2nd Offense: 1 – 7 Day Suspension
3rd Offense: Permanent Ban

No Logging Out Near Enemy Bases

Do not log out within 300 m of another player’s base. If you disconnect because of lag, a server restart, or another interruption while inside a base’s 300 m radius, reconnect within a reasonable amount of time.

1st Offense: Warning
2nd Offense: 1 – 7 Day Suspension
3rd Offense: Permanent Ban

NO KILLING FRESHLY SPAWNED PLAYERS

Do not camp fresh players in the various spawn towns.
Spawn Towns: Balota, Grishino, Novodmitrovsk, Nizhneye, Ratnoye, Tri Kresta, Staroye, Stary Sobor, Zelenogorsk
1st Offense: Warning
2nd Offense: 1 – 7 Day Suspension
3rd Offense: Permanent Ban

ABUSE OF BOT MECHANICS

Do not abuse the mechanics of the various Discord bot systems like bounties and cash4hunt.
Collusion to claim bounties will result in the earned bounty payment being returned to the player who placed it, and the loss of access to the bounty channel. For cash4hunt (or any other Discord bot system) – posting imagery obtained outside of the game world will result in forfeiture of all cash4hunt earnings and loss of privileges to the channel.

Section II – RAIDING

Raid Weekends

Raid weekend starts every other Friday night and runs through Sunday evening.

A base is at minimum, an enclosed space with walls/gates that is used as a primary storage or outpost area. Independent structures such as fences, watchtowers, etc. not used as a base can be dismantled / code cycled at all times. If you are unsure if a structure is part of a base or not, please open a ticket BEFORE taking action so the admins can provide guidance.

Raid times from the October 20 rulebook
LocationRaid startRaid end
Los Angeles (US)Friday 5:00 PMSunday 9:00 PM
New York (US)Friday 8:00 PMMonday 12:00 AM
London (UK)Saturday 1:00 AMMonday 5:00 AM
Sydney (AUS)Saturday 10:00 AMMonday 2:00 PM

Weekday Raiding Is Only Allowed If the Base Is Unlocked

If the gates are locked and there are no open walls, you CANNOT enter another player's base, even just to kill them. This includes natural methods, such as climbing surrounding structures. Shooting through openings in walls, throwing grenades over, etc. is allowed. Killing a player after they’ve unlocked their base to enter is also allowed. (Tip: Use multiple gates to create an airlock for safety!)
1st Offense: Permanent Ban

No Boosting or Item Stacking to Enter Bases

Do not use watchtower/fence kits, tents, or stack players to gain access to a base. The only appropriate method (during raid weekend) is building watchtowers over or using vehicles.
1st Offense: Permanent Ban

No Base Takeovers or Flagpole Dismantling

Lowering/removing a flag is allowed. You may not dismantle flagpoles or claim another player’s base for your own.
1st Offense: Permanent Ban

No Base Griefing

Do not change locks, block exits, or dismantle unnecessary walls or watchtowers. Do not squat post-raid in opposing bases. NOTE: Loot “popcorning” is allowed but not encouraged. There are many ways to stash critical items away from being stolen / lost during a raid; best advice is to utilize these measures in advance of raid weekends!
DISCIPLINE IS AT DISCRETION OF ADMIN:
1st Level Offense: Warning
2nd Level Offense: 1 – 7 Day Suspension
3rd Level Offense: Permanent Ban (Ex: Changing locks is automatic 3rd offense and ban)

Lock Cycling Is Raid-Weekend Only

Turning dials on code locks is only allowed during raid weekends. Doing this on weekdays is considered an attempted illegal raid.
May result in permanent ban (owner discretion)

Section III - BUILDING & BASE MANAGEMENT

Building Rules

You must build your base in a way that allows every fence/tower/gate to be destroyed and dismantled. X fences, log walls, or any base structure constructed in a way to prevent natural raiding methods are prohibited.

Each gate and fence must be placed with enough space in front and behind the full length for a player to be able to walk between it and another player-built gate or fence. i.e., no Wall/Gate stacking. Do not circumvent this by placing posts to block the gaps.

All dial locks must also be visible and able to be operated from both sides!

Fences cannot be glitching or clipping into storage items like tents and barrels.

Watchtowers can be stacked on each other with a max height = 9 stories (3 full towers) from the ground. If built on top of an existing world structure, the max = 3 stories (1 tower). Temporary towers exceeding 10 stories for raiding are fine.

Storage items cannot glitch into geometric objects (walls, hills, or other similar objects). Large tents that clip into the ceiling are fine, if they fit within the walls of the room. Storage items also cannot clip into other storage objects (crates in barrels, crate spam piles, or similar).

Player-made fences and watchtowers cannot pass through each other. (X-fences, for example)

Using/spamming posts to block entryways is not allowed (post walls)

If staff determines that your base or structure is affecting server performance, uses an excessive number of gates, or violates any building rules listed above, you will receive 24 hours’ notice to make the required changes. Staff will identify the issues and explain what must be corrected to bring the structure into compliance.

If you are unsure whether your base or planned build complies with the rules, please open a ticket through our Ticket System. Include images of the structure—or details of your planned build—and its iZurvive coordinates so staff can review it.

If staff cannot contact you within a reasonable timeframe, or the required changes are not completed within the 24-hour notice period, staff may modify or remove portions of the structure to bring it into compliance. Repeated non-compliance may result in a 1–7-day server suspension or a permanent server ban.

No Building in Spawn Towns / EVENT AREAS

These areas are designed to get players on their feet with loot quickly. They are also used as rotating event areas.
Towns: Balota, Grishino, North Novodmitrovsk*, Nizhneye, Ratnoye, Tri Kresta, Staroye, Stary Sobor, Zelenogorsk

Bases here are not protected by ANY server rules.
*North Novodmitrovsk is an event area. Building north of X 1.17 / Y 0.09 (11762 / 14400 on iSurvive) is not protected.

North Novodmitrovsk building boundary map
North Novodmitrovsk boundary — select the map to view it at full size.

BRIDGES TO SKALISTY / PRISON ISLAND

Do not block bridge access to either island.
Fences / watchtowers built on the two bridges are not protected by any raiding rules.

No Building in Military Bases or Static Gas Zones

Locations: Vybor (VMC), Pavlovo, Zelenogorsk, Tisy, NWAF (inc. BASH), Kamensk, Rify.
1st Offense: Permanent Auto Ban

NO ENCLOSING OTHER MILITARY SPAWNS

No walling off of barracks, tents, and other military loot sites that exist in the game world outside of the military bases above. They must remain open to looting by all players.

Vehicle Hoarding Is Limited

Max 6 vehicles per faction (includes all vehicle types). Temporary vehicles rented through the Shop do not count towards this total. Vehicles reset every month and the spawn rate is multiplied; do not hoard them!
If staff determines that your faction exceeds the vehicle limits above, you will receive 24 hours’ notice to make the required reductions in your fleet.

If staff cannot contact you within a reasonable timeframe, or the required reductions are not completed within the 24-hour notice period, staff may destroy all vehicles. Repeated non-compliance may result in currency fines for faction members, a 1–7-day server suspension, or a permanent server ban.

Safe Zones

Green Mountain is a safe zone for player trading. No raiding or building here. Killing other players or placing items in Green Mountain results in an automatic ban by Discord bot system.

Section IV - DISCORD & COMMUNITY CONDUCT

Full Code of Conduct

INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE

This Code of Conduct establishes the standards of behavior expected of all individuals, including Active, Inactive, and Retired members, as well as admins, staff, and any individual participating in or representing NZNR in any capacity.

All members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, professional, and responsible manner when engaging in chat on the NZNR Discord. This policy exists to protect the integrity of the server, ensure a safe and inclusive community, and safeguard NZNR’s reputation with Discord and Bohemia.

NZNR acknowledges that not all conduct involving its members occurs within its direct oversight. Conduct occurring outside official platforms or sanctioned environments does not automatically reflect NZNR’s values; however, enforcement under this Code applies where behavior reasonably impacts the server, its operations, its community, or its reputation, as determined by NZNR at its discretion.

Participation in the NZNR Discord and game server is a privilege, not a right. Conduct that undermines NZNR’s values, operations, or public image may result in disciplinary action, up to and including permanent removal from the platform.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION

This Code of Conduct applies to conduct occurring in, but not limited to, the following contexts:

• The official NZNR Discord
• Console-based party chats (Xbox, PlayStation) during NZNR games or events
• Direct messages or private communications where interactions are reasonably connected to NZNR, its members, or its activities
• Social media platforms where a member is identifiable as affiliated with NZNR

NZNR reserves the right to review conduct occurring outside official platforms where such conduct reasonably reflects upon the server or its community.

PLATFORM LIMITATIONS

As a general practice, NZNR does not intervene in personal disputes unrelated to official NZNR activities, platforms, or sanctioned events. Exceptions apply where conduct involves or reasonably implicates:
• Death Threats
• Cyber-related threats or actions (including DDoS, booting, or hacking)
• Sexual misconduct, exploitation, or predatory behavior
• Legal or criminal restrictions affecting participation or eligibility

In such circumstances, NZNR reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review the conduct and take appropriate action to protect the safety, integrity, and interests of its community, operations, partners, and stakeholders.

PUNISHMENTS

NZNR applies discipline proportionate to severity, frequency, and impact. Minor issues may be addressed through progressive corrective action at administrative discretion.

Progressive Discipline

Warnings

Discord ticket to be opened by staff outlining expectations and corrective guidance

Failure to correct behavior may result in formal disciplinary action

1 – 7 Day Suspension

Based on severity, discord / server suspensions to be issued from 1-7 days

Discord ticket to be opened by staff outlining the rule violation and corrective action

Discord / Server Bans

Issued for severe violations or repeated misconduct

Typically follows continued violations

Discretion Clause

NZNR reserves the right to determine appropriate discipline based on the totality of circumstances and is not obligated to apply progressive discipline where immediate action is warranted.

REPORTING VIOLATIONS

All reports must be supported by verifiable evidence meeting the standards below. Submissions failing to meet these requirements may be dismissed.

General Evidence Standards

• Evidence must be clear, complete, and independently verifiable
• Screenshots and recordings must be unedited, uncropped, and unaltered
• Evidence must be hosted on a free service that maintains long-term availability
• Evidence must demonstrate the conduct occurred within the scope of this Code

Statute of Limitations

• Complaints must be filed within 90 days of the incident
• Time-barred complaints will not be reviewed or enforced

Exception – Severe Misconduct

NZNR may review incidents outside the limitation period involving threats, sexual misconduct, doxxing, cyber threats, or significant legal, safety, or reputational risk.

Discord Evidence

• Must be captured via the mobile Discord application
• Screen-recorded video is strongly recommended
• Evidence must show identities, server/channel context, and jurisdictional relevance

Eligibility to File a Complaint

• Only directly affected individuals may file complaints
• Third-party reports are not accepted unless authorized
• Exceptions apply for severe misconduct or safety concerns

Appeals and Evidence Integrity

• Decisions are based solely on submitted evidence
• Appeals cannot introduce previously available evidence
• Time-barred incidents cannot be revived
• NZNR retains final authority

Weaponization of Reporting

• Weaponizing archived content or private communications may result in discipline
• Abuse of the reporting process is itself a violation

ADDITIONAL GUIDANCE

• Respectful debate is permitted
• Humor, stress, or intent do not excuse violations
• Members may contact designated site admin if uncomfortable filing directly or they have questions.

SECTION 1: DISCRIMINATION, RACISM, AND HATEFUL CONDUCT

This section addresses conduct that discriminates against, targets, or demeans individuals or groups based on protected or inherent characteristics. This includes, but is not limited to, racial slurs, ethnic insults, religious discrimination, cultural stereotyping, gender-based harassment, disability-related remarks, or any language or behavior that undermines inclusivity, dignity, or equal treatment.

Violations under this section are considered among the most serious within the NZNR community due to their direct impact on member safety, community integrity, and the server’s public reputation.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Intent is not a mitigating factor where discriminatory language or conduct is present
• Discriminatory language may constitute a violation whether directed at an individual, a group, or used generally
• Conduct occurring outside the NZNR platforms may be reviewed by server administration at their sole discretion
• Limited discretion may be exercised in situations where language is directly quoted from external media (e.g., movies, music, or other widely recognized media) and is clearly contextual rather than expressive

This discretion is not automatic and will not apply where staff determine that a member is attempting to exploit context to introduce, normalize, or mask discriminatory language. Any attempt to abuse this consideration will result in enforcement of the default disciplinary outcome.

Targeted Discrimination Escalation Clause

Where a member is found to have targeted, attacked, or discriminated against another individual based on a known or reasonably understood personal characteristic, belief, or protected attribute (including but not limited to race, ethnicity, religion, disability, or a medical or developmental condition of the individual or their immediate family) and where that characteristic is the explicit or implicit basis for the attack, the conduct shall be deemed egregious.

In such circumstances, the violation WILL RESULT IN AN IMMEDIATE DISCORD/SERVER BAN, regardless of prior disciplinary history, intent, tone, or claimed context.

Coded, Slang, or Symbolic Language Prohibition

The use of coded language, slang, symbols, emojis, abbreviations, or indirect references that are commonly understood to convey discriminatory, racist, or hateful meaning is strictly prohibited. This includes language or symbols used within gaming culture or online communities to substitute for, imply, or obscure racial slurs or discriminatory intent (e.g., abbreviated terms, acronyms, emojis, or visual symbols used as stand-ins for prohibited language).

Use of such coded or symbolic language will be treated as equivalent to the underlying discriminatory expression, regardless of whether the explicit slur or term is stated directly. Claims of humor, ambiguity, slang usage, or lack of intent will not be accepted as defenses.

Any attempt to circumvent this policy through indirect, coded, or symbolic means WILL BE TREATED AS A SERIOUS OFFENSE AND WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE ESCALATION, UP TO AND INCLUDING A DISCORD/SERVER BAN, WHERE APPLICABLE.

Disciplinary Application

Punishments for violations under this section remain unchanged and are enforced as defined under the following categories:
• Racial Slurs
• Religious Discrimination
• Discriminatory Remarks

Punishment for violations under this section:
• DISCORD/SERVER BAN

SECTION 2: THREATS, VIOLENCE, AND EXTREME MISCONDUCT

This section governs threats or references to physical harm, violence, or extreme misconduct. This includes threats of assault, harm toward individuals or their families, death threats, threats of self-harm, booting, DDoS attacks, hacking, or any credible suggestion of real-world harm.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• All threats are treated as serious regardless of intent, tone, or whether framed as jokes
• Threats involving self-harm or harm to others are considered zero-tolerance violations
• Credibility, specificity, and repetition may increase severity but are not required for enforcement
• Threats involving death, family members, self-harm, or cyber-attacks are not subject to progressive discipline and will result in immediate escalation

Disciplinary Application

Punishments remain unchanged and may include immediate suspension, Capital Offense designation, or Site Ban depending on severity.

Punishment for violations involving death threats, family threats, self-harm, DDoS attacks, or similar extreme conduct:
• CAPITAL OFFENSE

Punishment for threats of physical violence:
• 1st Degree [warning]
• 2nd Degree [1-7 day Discord/Server suspension]
• 3rd Degree [Discord/Server Ban]

SECTION 3: DOXXING AND UNAUTHORIZED SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

This section prohibits the unauthorized sharing or disclosure of personal, private, or identifying information belonging to another individual. This includes, but is not limited to, home or work addresses, phone numbers, private identities, employment details, family information, or personal social media accounts THAT ARE NOT PUBLICLY AVAILABLE.

Public availability of information elsewhere does not exempt its misuse within NZNR-affiliated environments.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Consent of the affected individual is required
• Intent to intimidate, harass, or expose increases severity
• Only the affected individual may file a complaint unless an exception is granted

Disciplinary Application

Punishments remain unchanged and may escalate rapidly due to safety and legal risk considerations.
• 1st Degree [1-7 day Discord/Server suspension]
• 2nd Degree [Discord/Server Ban]

SECTION 4: PERSONAL ATTACKS AND CHARACTER ASSASSINATION

This section addresses non-physical attacks on individuals that target personal traits rather than performance. This includes insults related to appearance, intelligence, lifestyle, values, personal decisions, or attacks directed at a member’s family or personal life. More serious examples include slanderous or damaging statements presented as fact that are unproven or unjustified.

Competitive banter related strictly to in-game performance or statistics is permitted.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Frequency and persistence increase severity
• Attacks directed beyond gameplay context are subject to enforcement
• Harassment patterns may reclassify violations under Section 10

Disciplinary Application
• 1st Degree [warning]
• 2nd Degree [1-7 day Discord/Server suspension]
• 3rd Degree [Discord/Server Ban]

SECTION 5: USE OF DEROGATORY OR INSENSITIVE LANGUAGE (NON-TARGETED)

NZNR recognizes that informal or slang language is common in competitive environments. However, certain terms are widely recognized as derogatory or insensitive and are not acceptable, regardless of intent.

This includes casual or slang use of terms such as but not limited too:
•Language historically associated with intellectual or developmental disabilities

This prohibition applies even when the term is self-referential, joking, or not directed at a specific individual.

NZNR distinguishes this category from targeted harassment or discrimination, which is addressed under Section 1 and carries more severe penalties.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Intent may be considered for severity, but does not excuse usage
• Repeated use after warning may result in escalation
• Language may be reclassified if targeting or harassment is present

Disciplinary Application
• 1st Degree [warning]
• 2nd Degree [1-7 day Discord/Server suspension]
• 3rd Degree [Discord/Server Ban]

SECTION 6: NSFW, EXPLICIT, OR GRAPHIC CONTENT

This section governs the posting or sharing of content deemed Not Safe for Work (NSFW), including sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or sexually charged language used in arguments or debates.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Platform visibility and audience exposure are considered
• Repeated posting increases severity
• Context does not override content standards

Disciplinary Application
• 1st Degree [warning]
• 2nd Degree [1-7 day Discord/Server suspension]
• 3rd Degree [Discord/Server Ban]

SECTION 7: SEXUAL MISCONDUCT AND ILLEGAL CONTENT

This section enforces a zero-tolerance standard for content involving sexual assault references, exploitation, sexual content involving minors, or pornography.

Context and Enforcement Considerations

• Intent is irrelevant
• Any association with minors results in immediate escalation
• Violations may result in Site Ban and external reporting if required

Disciplinary Application
• DISCORD/SERVER BAN AT THE DISCRETION OF SITE ADMINISTRATION

SECTION 8: EXPOSURE AND INDECENT CONTENT

Members are prohibited from exposing themselves or sharing indecent content via images, video, livestreams, or messages within NZNR-affiliated environments.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Applies regardless of whether content is consensual
• Livestream exposure carries heightened severity
• Repetition results in immediate escalation

Disciplinary Application
• DISCORD/SERVER BAN

SECTION 9: SPAMMING, ADVERTISING, AND MALICIOUS CONTENT

This section addresses spam, phishing attempts, malware distribution, unauthorized advertising, or disruptive posting behavior.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Intent to deceive or defraud increases severity
• Unauthorized promotion is prohibited regardless of content legitimacy
• Repeat behavior escalates rapidly

Disciplinary Application
• 1st Degree [warning]
• 2nd Degree [1-7 day Discord/Server suspension]
• 3rd Degree [Discord/Server Ban]

SECTION 10: HARASSMENT AND TARGETED ABUSE

Harassment includes repeated, unwanted, or coercive behavior that targets an individual. This includes intimidation, rumor-spreading, persistent contact after being asked to stop, or coordinated targeting.

Members are encouraged, where safe and reasonable, to communicate boundaries and utilize available blocking or reporting tools; however, failure to do so does not negate a violation or limit NZNR’s ability to take enforcement action under this policy.

Context and Enforcement Considerations
• Patterns of behavior are heavily weighted
• Single incidents may qualify if severe
• Sexual harassment results in automatic escalation

Disciplinary Application

Punishments may include a warning, mandatory discussion, Discord ban, or permanent server Ban, depending on severity and pattern.

FINAL PROVISIONS

GLOBAL DISCRETION CLAUSE
Degree-based disciplinary outcomes represent general enforcement guidance. NZNR reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to bypass progressive discipline and impose immediate escalation where severity, intent, safety risk, pattern of behavior, or reputational impact warrants such action.

DEGREE DEFINITION
Degree classifications reflect repeated or escalating violations of a similar nature within a rolling enforcement period, as determined by NZNR staff.

UNENUMERATED CONDUCT AND TERMINATION AUTHORITY

This Code of Conduct is intended to define standards of behavior within the NZNR Discord and game server; however, it is not exhaustive. Conduct that is not expressly listed in this document may still constitute a violation where such behavior:
• Undermines the integrity, safety, fairness, or operation of NZNR
• Causes harm to members, staff, partners, or NZNR’s reputation
• Interferes with the proper functioning of NZNR’s servers, platforms, or events
• Violates the NZNR gameplay and code of conduct policies, or applicable law

In such circumstances, NZNR reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review the conduct and impose appropriate disciplinary action, including warnings, suspensions, Discord bans, server bans, or other corrective measures deemed necessary.
